The recipient of a bachelor’s degree in communication and master’s degree in mediation from the University of Utah, David Musselman is a skilled and experienced mediator who began his career at Musselman Bradley and Cross. He was co-owner of Utah’s first non-lawyer private practice and spent 5 years in this capacity, during which time he performed more than 300 arbitrations and trained nearly a dozen arbitrators. David Musselman subsequently started working as a divorce mediator and founded Divorce Mediation Institute of Utah.
In overseeing the private divorce mediation training institute, Mr. Musselman trained and mentored more than 30 divorce mediators. He also managed all marketing activities and created the company’s Divorcetec mediation software. He continues to work in this capacity, but now through Common Ground Divorce Services of Utah, which he founded in 2004. Since establishing this practice, he has designed Utah’s first crisis marriage coaching program, which he utilizes in addition to his original divorce cost calculator and monthly payment alimony calculator.
Concurrently, Mr. Musselman works as a broker with Equity Real Estate, where he has mediated more than 100 short sales of residential properties to prevent foreclosures since 2006. His hobbies include water sports and traveling.
